River Season Wrap Up & Lake Start Up!!
Depending on Lake & river conditions, I may be on the river one or two more days this week, but basically I am wrapped up for the Spring. One word; Incredible! If you follow our reports, or if you were here over the last 8 months then you know incredible.
We had a period or two of tough going, mainly due to cold temps or water flows, but otherwise, incredible!
I wrapped the week up with Ralph and Todd from Pa, for two days, Lucky Fritz for his final three days of the season. Frank & Patty Clarke who fish the lake with me, but saw my reports and had to try a float trip. They are hooked for life! Friday, Gary Powlus and his son Mike along with Tom Sr & Jr who fished with Chris Mulpagano from Get the Net Guide Service, finished out the week. What a week! Great weather, good food, cigars, fish, deer, turkey, ospreys, herons, ducks, birds and very few people.
Pictures!!

Even the bass were biting!!

The animal Fritz Becker 40 plus fish in three days!!!!

Fritz even invited his friend Mark along one day

Fritz loves to nail them swinging big flies, but when it slows down he grabs a float rod and a bead. This is a Glo Roe bead from www.troutbeads.com. One of the hottest baits of the season. Check them out!!

Gary & Mike with a long hen.

Look at colors of the BT! It could be a resident river fish??

Troy, As promised here are a few pictures. Patty and I can't thank you enough for
the new experience you brought to us with drift boat fishing. We truly had a
wonderful time, catching as many fish as we did was only an added bonus. Not
only did you teach us art of float fishing you also are very good company I
would highly recommend your services to any one of my friends. I don't have
to tell you that we'll be booking our next years trip in the next few weeks
and from what Patty has told me it looks like we'll be taken two trips next
year, you truly are a very experience fishing guide. We both are looking
forward to joining you on your new boat next week and having you educate us
even more on the lake fishing. Patty would like to know if you could enter
one of her pictures in your magazine contest.

Frank,She is in for a future issue, Thank you.

We plugged when we had water, fly fished and drifted beads and eggs sacs under floats. Every method worked and worked very well.
The new boat is now christened and it even catches fish.
Ed White and his boys along with a few friends joined me for the final LOC Derby weekend. Fishing was slow at best but we landed several each day including this nice 10 pound football.

East winds, clear water, lack of bait and just not many fish around made it tough. The boys ate, snoozed, told jokes and we passed the time talking about the great fishing they had experienced with me over the last few seasons.
Black & silver smithwicks off the boards and Dreamweaver Super Slims in the new super glow, Green eyed ghost and beefeater took our bites.
I am now booking Oneida Lake walleye trips and May & June brown trout trips if you are interested. I have May 18, 22, 27, 29 along with plenty of June dates. Call if interested.
