Lake Ontario, Salmon and Oswego River Fishing Report 5/16/07
Ok, So I am trying to get this new site format figured out. Sorry for not updating, but I have zero time to work on this. Guess it was a bad time to change the system, but when is a good time? It will be worth it in the long run trust me. This new system does everything, once I learn how to do it.
On to the fishing;
Lake ontario continues to produce great cathes of brown trout. Although they are running small, they are fat and very healthy. Numbers most days are astonishing, and then the weather changes and you work for a 8 or 10. Still not too bad. We have been fishing near nine mile point but the east shore, and west to Fair Haven have fish.
Same ole program. black and silver off the boards and a mix of natural and bright colors on the riggers. Dreamweaver spoons, evil eyes and thundersticks are the baits of choice.
The salmon river still has a pile of steelhead in it. Just walk into the town pool, the papermill pool or any deep fast cut and you find a fish. what a year it just keps going and going.
This Sunday just opened up if you want it.
I also have May 21, 29, 30, 31
I will have some pictures up soon.
See you out there,
Troy
