Lake Ontario Fishing Report 8/7/08

Can you say Breezy!!!

The wind continues to reek havoc on Lake Ontario trollers and there is no sign of it letting up. We continue to get pounded with big seas and west winds that contiue to pour warm water into the eastern half of the big pond. This weather pattern is keeping the salmon in the west corner and Canada and I do not know when it is going to change.

 Ok, enough whining. Look at these trout we took between blows this AM.

Can't complain when we take fish like this and yes there was a few salmon taken today as well in 400 FOW. Several were in the 25 pound range. It is not all bad news.

Maybe after this blow things will set up for the big push and the final 6 or 7 weeks of the season. Let us hope.
