DEC/ ELOSTA Annual State of the Lake Meeting

Thursday March 6^th 7:00 PM at the Mexico BOCES the Eastern Lake Ontario Salmon & Trout Association (ELOSTA) and the New York DEC will co-host the Annual State of the Lake meeting. ELOSTA will provide refreshments during the break Presenters will include both the DEC and the USGS.

Lake Ontario anglers will receive the latest updates concerning:

·        Forage/prey condition in the lake

·        The latest information on the VHS fish virus

·        The 2007 final creel census report, lake and tribs.

·        A report on funded projects from the Occidental settlement

·        Fiscal status of our DEC and what lies ahead for 2008 and beyond

·        Invasive species report

·        Tentative fish stocking numbers for 2008

·        Tentative fishing regulations changes for 2010

·        Salmon river report on trout & salmon
