SIDNEY, Neb. – Cabela’s and the National Rifle Association have forged an important partnership designed to promote and protect the outdoor tradition and sporting heritage. With complementary goals and values, the two groups form a powerful alliance benefiting all outdoor sporting enthusiasts.
“Cabela’s partnership with the National Rifle Association supports the highly important and positive programs they offer, including initiatives geared toward women, youth, hunter education and conservation,” said Dennis Highby, President and CEO of Cabela’s. “We’re proud to stand beside the NRA in their efforts to promote and protect our shared heritage.”
In addition to the recently announced commitment to the Add-A-Buck program, Cabela’s is also working closely with the NRA on a number of initiatives, including fostering NRA membership among the company’s nearly 15,000 employees and supporting the upcoming NRA Annual Meetings in Louisville, Ky., on May 16-20, 2008.
In the May, 2008, issue of American Hunter, Cabela’s founders Jim and Dick Cabela were honored with a Golden Bullseye Award. Named 2008 Pioneers, the brothers were noted for revolutionizing the outdoor equipment business.
