To Our Subscribers

As we know everything is going up, gas, food and most recently postage rates. The US Postal Service has expenses as well, and they say they can justify the increase.

We ship the magazine to our subscribers, via second class mail. We have been told on numerous occasions that second class mail should be processed in two or three business days. Not even close. If you subscribe to LOO, you already know that the last several issues have been delayed and for this we apologize. After having a few dozen subscribers calling me when their issue arrived, I was able to ascertain that most issues were taking over two weeks to reach their final destination. This is unacceptable and the Post Office is reluctant to admit this is happening. They say they are going to monitor it? Guess that is the good news. You should not see an issue you are paying for on a shelf in a Sport shop, before you see it in your mail box.

Basically they are forcing us to ship the subscriptions first class and since we are small, we do not receive the huge shipping discounts that major publishing companies do. That being said, our subscription rates which have never increased in over 12 years will now need to be increased and for that we also apologize.

If you are a current subscriber you will not see any increases until it is time to renew. If you choose to stay with us you will see that the new price will be $15.95 for US and $19.95 for Canadian subscriptions.
