Salmon River, Oswego River Report 1/25/10
Want water?
Better watch what you ask for or you just might get it. Everything is blown out or on it's way out. They held back the flow in the salmon river all weekend even though they knew this weather was coming. They are saying 1800 cfs, but I am sure it will go higher. We will see.
The other rivers are not even close to cresting I would think one would want to stay home and wait a few days for all of this to calm down. Please be careful along the streams and pay attention to where you arte going and what may be coming at you from upstream.
If you are ice fishing, the water load on the ice is tremendous. Please wait for things to chill back down.
I had a busy week bouncing from one river to another We hit them real good in Oswego for a few days and as the water dropped so did the bite. The last day I fished there we only got a few. Soooo back to the salmnon river and dig in. We managed a feweach day, just like it has been. Very crowded and a slow bite for most.
This water will stir things up and I would look for a very good February that is just right around the corner.

Earl & Moe beat on them good and made up for a slow trip the day before.

I had Tom Burke from Cold Steel out with me for a few days and his guys were all smiles as well.

Phil & Mike spent two days with me and did a few fish on each river.

If you have the itch to go, just wait for the water to receed a little and give us a call.
Shelley and I just canned our trip down south, so I am home all winter and have the first two weeks of February wide open.
Spring is about full. I have days in March but I only have I have April 5, 6, 10, 11, 12 & May 9 & 10 as well as plenty of days for the 2010 lake season.
