Salmon River Fishing Report 12/ 29/09

The warm weather over the weekend is now a thing of the past as sub zero windchills kept  my guys in their hotel room this am.

Saturday and Sunday was balmy. With temps pushing 40 it appeared that everyone who owned a fishing rod was on the river. It was jam packed and it made things tough. We picked a few but the most productive spots had 3 to 5 people standing right where we caught fish just days before.

John Noble came up with his dad Weldon. He was home from college and it had been over 6 years since he was in the driftboat. He banged a few on the float rod including this nice hen.

Yesterday was still busy but we got into a few good spots and beat on them.

Steve & Connor stayed right with it even during the white out conditions. Persistance paid off as it was a great day!!

They called this am and said the wind felt brutal and decided to pass.

Looks like my trip for tomorrow is holding off as well. It doesn't look too bad but I try to give the guys a choice when it is cold.

I have January 3, 4, 5, 6, 10-16, 22, 25 open.

See you out there stay safe.
