With all the great hunting and fishing we have in and around Lake Ontario, we often miss out on the lesser known places and events. For instance, the Seaway Trail that leads us around the lake to various Military forts and points of interest. Local fairs and on the water poker runs. These are the great thing that you don't always hear about.
Well, with that in mind I have to tell you about the best Fathers Day/Anniversary present Shelley could have ever given me.
This summer we traveled twenty miles south of Rochester to the Geneseo Airport and hooked up with Warbirds adventures from Kissimmee Florida. Check out the picture below! We are going vertical at 3000 feet, then we rolled her over into a downward spin, hit about 230mph and then pulled out hard with our tail on fire!!!!
You see, Shelley bought me a ride in a North American T-6/SNJ Texan/Harvard! I spent a 1/2 hour doing loops and spins and flying inverted at 200 MPH! I am still smiling! What a great time. They give you some basic instruction, you grab the stick and have at it! If you like to fly in small planes you must give this a try.
This is not a Simulator!!! This is the real thing. Whether you want a thrilling aerobatic adventure or a smooth sightseeing flight, the experience will never be forgotten. Great for first time flyers, Nostalgia buffs, modelers and pilots. You take the controls in the front seat and one of their very experienced instructors will teach you everything you want to learn about flying this beautiful piece of history. It's a 100% hands on experience that I highly recommend.
